RIORDAN LEADERSHIP INSTITUTE
About the Program
The Riordan Leadership Institute (RLI) is an eight-month nonprofit board training and matching program. Meeting one day per month, comprehensive curriculum ensures participants have the knowledge, tools and inspiration to be effective nonprofit board members, including a clear understanding of board governance, organizational sustainability, fiscal responsibility and fundraising. In addition to classroom training, RLI fellows are paired with a local nonprofit partner for a six-month field experience to gain a better understanding of the nonprofit’s mission and the community it serves, as well as the strategic and tactical issues facing nonprofit boards.

“My experience with RLI has been extremely beneficial. When I joined RLI, my hope was to gain understanding of how a board functions — make decisions, work through tasks and address challenges. RLI has not only provided tools that will be helpful in my nonprofit development but also my work life and even home life. RLI’s amazing speakers broke down topics in an informative and enjoyable manner."
