Miriam Spiegel is an education and nonprofit leader with experience in program design and evaluation, data-driven decision making, and cultivating relationships within and across sectors with the goal of strengthening outcomes for children, families, and communities. In her current capacity as a Program Officer at First 5 LA, Miriam manages a portfolio of investments aimed at improving program quality of participating early care and education providers in Los Angeles County. She previously served as director for the Jewish Federation of Greater Los Angeles and research associate at WestEd. Miriam holds a Master of Arts in Primary Education from the University College London-Institute of Education, and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology with a minor in Educational Studies from the University of California, Santa Barbara. Miriam lives with her husband, Jesse, and their son, Noah, in Los Angeles, CA.
