Marilyn is a public health policy professional with a commitment to civic engagement and community organizing. She has experience in city, county and state government, all in the service of advancing health, equity, and community well-being. She has a history of volunteerism as an executive board member of a young professional organization and board member of the LBJ Presidential Library Future Forum. Currently, she is a senior project manager at a mental health policy non-profit dedicated to creating equitable systemic changes in behavioral health care.

As a new resident of L.A., Marilyn is eager to better understand the issues facing our community, areas of strength and levers of influence to be better informed and equipped to tackle our shared challenges. She is thrilled about connecting with other civic-minded fellows who are committed to creating a more equitable L.A. for all.

In her spare time, Marilyn enjoys exploring the nature of L.A. and Southern California, birding and gardening, discovering new restaurants and bars, and reading sci-fi and fantasy novels.
