I am currently the founding Director of Impact@Anderson, UCLA Anderson School of Management’s strategic Center for Social Impact and Sustainability. In this role, I am responsible for establishing the vision and strategy for the Center, garnering financial resources, creating innovative programs and engaging with students, alumni, faculty and impact professionals in the community. The goal of the Center is to shift mindsets about the role of business in addressing the world's greatest challenges by integrating impact across the core curriculum, creating global field study projects to expose students to international challenges, and providing rigorous training for students committed to being change agents throughout their careers. My interest in social innovation grew out of my background in public health and my experience establishing public-private partnerships to address chronic diseases through the social determinants of health. Prior to my current work in social impact, I spent over 12 years in the field of public health, starting my career in international development in Ghana, and continuing my experience working across all three levels of the Canadian government to further the national obesity prevention agenda. I have an MPH from the University of Michigan, an MBA from UCLA, and a BS from the University of Toronto.

I live in Playa del Rey with my husband and toddler, and love spending time at the beach with them. I’m currently working on my bedtime negotiation skills with my almost 2 year old, who seems to be better at negotiation than me.
