I am a business manager at SoCalGas, with over 10 years of experience in data , compliance, risk and integrity management, I currently lead a team to develop and implement an integrity management program by increasing our system knowledge to improve and continue safe operations. In my previous roles as a data manager and a chemical engineer, I standardized data collection, developed records management practices, implemented and automated new and existing processes to increase business efficiencies, increase data transparency for better decision making and ultimately reduce risk. In addition, I interacted with regulatory agencies to manage data requests, audits and review policies. I have a BS in Chemical Engineering from Cal Poly Pomona and am currently enrolled in the MPA program at the University of LaVerne.

I am looking forward to learning about the innerworkings of the system to be an influentional leader and positively contribute to the society and our LA community. My interests are specially towards sesible policy making to achieve climate goals, housing crisis and educating the younger generation about the political system, taxation, and policies that impact their life directly or indirectly.

I enjoy and spend most of my free time outdoors hiking and biking. I am a first generation Iranian – American. After waiting for my immigration case to be reveiwed for over 13 years, I was finally granted Visa and moved to the US in 2006. While I moved to a few different states for work, I ultimately moved back to California - Greater LA area as I enjoyed its diversity and beautiful weather, mountains and ocean.
