Albert Hernandez was born and raised in the neighborhood called Koreatown; which is part of Los Angeles. He is number five of eleven brothers and sisters. He was raised by a single parent who worked two jobs to be able to provide for all the children. At 14 years of age Albert began working at the local Boys & Girls Club helping children with homework and recreational activities. While attending high school Albert remained working after school hours as it was his way to generate income to support the family. He soon realized his passion to helping those in need through drug and gang prevention programs.

Albert slowly began working his way up at the Boys & Girls Club, even transferring to other branches where he led staff development and program development initiatives. Albert now leads Home Again Los Angeles, a non-profit homeless service provider helping unsheltered families in securing employment and housing.

Albert is active in local causes including the Rotary Club, Kiwanis Club, Burbank Chamber of Commerce, and Glendale Latino Association.
