OUR FELLOWSHIPS

Southern California is one of the most complex, diverse and challenging regions in the nation, rife with what social scientists call “wicked problems” – those intractable, seemingly unsolvable challenges such as homelessness, equitable access to early education and health supports, expanding effects of climate change, social injustice, and many more. Response to wicked problems requires collaboration among a broad variety of stakeholders:  nonprofits, government, business and philanthropy; neighborhoods and community activists; the faith community; individuals from across cultures, ethnicities, political viewpoints and value systems.

More than 3,500 civic-minded leaders have participated in an SCLN fellowship, gaining the knowledge, skills and connections necessary to make a real impact on long-term and trending issues central to California’s future.
