A network that advances the region and the state by inspiring, preparing and connecting leaders to drive change.
INSPIRING LEADERS. DRIVING CHANGE.
Southern California Leadership Network envisions a more dynamic and prosperous region and state led by informed, collaborative, inspired, diverse and capable leaders.
SCLN’s three fellowships – Leadership L.A., Leadership Southern California and the Riordan Leadership Institute (RLI) – are cohort-based and include both in-class and experiential learning to support the development of the skills, knowledge and aptitude of compassionate, emotionally intelligent, cross-sector leaders.
By providing a space and the structure for leaders to learn from each other, SCLN facilitates growth with authenticity, trust, and deep respect. In doing so, we weave widely diverse perspectives into the tightly-knit relationships that drive change. SCLN’s participants move beyond the silos of office, sector and community in order to build relationships that normally do not occur in everyday life. While SCLN’s fellows do not always share the same perspective or background, they share the same commitment to advancing our region and state.
Since 1987, the Southern California Leadership Network has equipped nearly 3,500 civic-minded individuals with the regional knowledge and the skills necessary to create and lead informed solutions addressing quality of life issues across Los Angeles, Southern California and the state. Among our alumni are exemplary individuals who have leveraged their SCLN experience and gone on to become some of the most innovative nonprofit leaders in Southern California, elected officials and public servants, and business leaders who are committed to serving all communities.
