Leadership L.A. has been strengthening L.A. County by developing and empowering leaders since 1987.
The Leadership L.A. program includes nine monthly, full-day sessions devoted to key community issues and personal development exercises. It is for individuals who are becoming increasingly active in community leadership roles throughout Los Angeles County who need to understand the issues shaping the city and county.
Fellows learn through first-hand experiences about such issues as water, education, health care, public safety and arts, culture and the creative economy. They get in-depth knowledge of L.A. city and county, and build strong and lasting relationships between class participants and organizations they encounter. Tuition cost of the program for 2010 is $3,000 with a 10 percent credit for Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce member organizations.
